How did you get into geocaching?
My best friend’s mom has been doing it for a long time. She came
down to visit us and showed us what it was all about.
What's the meaning behind the screen name?
Originally it was FriesianFeatherz, like my email. When I knew I
was hooked and I wanted to really do this, I changed it. (since
I haven’t had a horse in years) I have an Australian Shepherd puppy
named My Blue Eyed Scarlett O’Hara.. Blue eyed aussie!
Do you cache alone or are you part of a team?
Mostly alone, my boyfriend works and my friend has two young boys,
but they join me once in a while.
How many caches have you found and how many have you hidden?
As of 11/18, I’ve found 34 and I just hid my first one. I can't
wait till 100 finds. =D
Have you cached in other states or countries?
Sadly no.. I left for a week in NC before I really checked it out,
and I regret not having a GPS while I was there!
Besides geocaching, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Online gaming, drawing, reading, spending time with my friends and
my puppy.
What kind of wildlife have you encountered while geocaching?
Snakes, all types of birds, turtles, a raccoon, one gator, and too
many spiders.
What advice would you offer new geocachers/hiders?
I’m new myself, so I can’t really give advice.. but it’s addicting!
What do you say when muggles ask what you are doing?
Thankfully that hasn’t happened to me yet, but I’d explain it.
What is your favorite cache container?
Any that are nowhere near spiders. =D
What is the strangest thing you have ever found in the cache?
Nothing too strange yet.
What was your most memorable caching find/experience?
I’m still pretty new so I haven’t had many, but running away from
GC1W2B2 screaming is hard to forget.
Urban hides, love em or hate em?
Love them! It means I can keep caching after dark!
Are you planning on attending Cacheapalooza 4 in December?
I can’t wait!!!
And what would you like to see more of at the event?
It’s my first event, but I hope there’s cool stuff to buy.
And finally, Garmin or Magellan?
My first was a Magellan and it was a lemon.. so.. GARMIN!
