How did you get into geocaching?
Ari’s partner pulled over some people for looking suspicious. They told them they were just GeoCaching and explained what it was. Ari looked into it and came home all excited to tell me. We went out that night and found a few and since then have been hooked.

What's the meaning behind the screen name?
An old screen name issued to Ari from an online community years ago. It just stuck!

Do you cache alone or are you part of a team?
Ari goes out at times with McPhenius, besides that it is the two of us!

How many caches have you found and how many have you hidden?
Geocaching since 8/29/09 Found 126 hidden 2 Have you cached in other states or countries? We will get to NY and Bahamas this December.

Besides geocaching, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Biking, shopping, being outdoors, and spending quality time together.

What kind of wildlife have you encountered while geocaching?
Lots of different kinds of spiders and a dead animal skull ewww!

What advice would you offer new geocachers/hiders?
Give it a chance at the beginning you may get frustrated but stick to it and you will be hooked. This is not a competition so just cache at your own pace.

What do you say when muggles ask what you are doing?
We are not the hiding from muggles type, we enjoy questions so we get more geocachers involved.

What is your favorite cache container?
Formula Cache

What is the strangest thing you have ever found in the cache?
Dental Floss

What was your most memorable caching find/experience?
Every cache has a different story we can tell people. Karen’s favorite experience was being stopped by the cops while caching with Ari. We explained to him what it was but I don’t think he cared. Ari’s favorite experience was his very first cache find with Karen. It also happens to be a cache hidden by the two people who got him into geocaching.

Urban hides, love em or hate em?
In South Florida most caches are urban hides. So far it has been fun but we can’t wait to travel and experience caches we have to hike to. Urban caches equal many smiley faces on our map for now.

Are you planning on attending Cacheapalooza 4 in December?
Who isn’t? Of course we are!

And what would you like to see more of at the event?
This will be our first event so we will see what there is.

And finally, Garmin or Magellan? Neither, Delorme
